Ed Shaughnessy before his long-running endorsement of Ludwig drums. Shown here on what appears to be a mid-60's catalog set of Headliners. The black glasses have come full circle now.

That is cool! Thanks for posting.
Great photo. He was an amazing drummer.
That Rogers tom mount is just insane!
Thanks for posting!
I believe he went Rogers... Pearl.... then Ludwig.

Always loved his unusual sized Slingerland sets, one of the early 18" BD players.
Where the heck was that pic taken? if it was the TS stage - sure looked like they were running on a much smaller budget back then or something? (stage looks to be tight and .........how do you say 'not nice'?)

Wow, why would you go from Rogers to Pearl would be my question :)
And in the 2nd Rogers pic posted, he's running 2 different sized kicks!
I think he started with Slingerland?

That pic is in Rob Cook's Slingy book, I believe. I don't think he mentions where it was taken though...
Great pics thanks for posting these. Old Ed was an inventive kit designer indeed! Love the mis-matched kicks and tom-timbale combo...
