So I've got a set of Early 70's Ludwigs in down beat sizes that I just recently picked up.
They are clear interior 3-ply. The owner told me he purchased them one by one when he was in high school (as he could afford it), which would explain the down beat sizes despite Ludwig not offering a downbeat outfit at the time.
The wrap is in fantastic shape. There's little to no fade (I try and be as conservative as possible when it comes to pricing my equipment out so this may even be an understatement). There is some slight pull (as you can see in the picture gallery) but no lift. The 14" and bearing edge and the 12" bearing edge have the same situation where there's a slight gap. I brought it over in another thread and was told to leave as is, because it isn't cracking (SOURCE: http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=44404)
Has all of the internal mufflers, tension rods etc and even the original heads batter and reso. Everything is original as far I can tell.
The serial numbers are as follows:
20": 860742
12": 1013690
14": 1013631

I can take more pictures upon request.
I'm looking $1200 but I'm very interested in working a deal for a 50's/60's WFL/Ludwig Superclassic set up in blue/red/gold/silver sparkle.
I'll consider other trades as well. I live in the Boston area and prefer local but I would consider shipping as well.
Thanks!
