Being I'm thinking back,I'm remembering drum kits being sold in the 60's that were odd shapes. Some like partly melted,and other strange shapes. I could be wrong but, I'm wanting to say they were marketed by Vox. Why I don't know. I believe they were a molded "Vistalite" type material. I remember them being sold (if anyone bought them) at the LUDWIG music store/studio on Grand&Gravios in St. Louis around 1966 or 67. Never could figure out how the odd shaped heads could be tuned. Honest! This was during the physcodelic times. It would be great if someone knows more about these odd drums! Someone, somewhere has to remember, or have one of these kits. Pics would be awsome.
