I had to freeze a video I was watching called Victory at Sea.It's WWll footage.I had just glanced at Rob Cooks Slingerland book of Jake and returned in front of the boob tube and lo and behold,what doesn't appear to be a young Seaman Jerger bellying up to the soda fountain! I only have 3 pics from the book to compare but I emailed his daughter and got an immediate response. She was so excited and wants further time to evaluate it.

There's a name I remember from way back. I had one of his drum books way back when I first took lessons. Slingerland guy too yes??? I remember seeing the ad's in Down Beat. I saw the pic you posted but she gone now? There's ton of pictures of Jake if you do a google image search. Let us know what you find out.
