I have a 70s/80s Ludwig 6-ply 24" Kick and 13" Tom. The type of lugs that go on these drums is the Large Ludwig Lugs. I bought some lugs for these drums and the screws for the lugs are too short to reach thru the lugs holes. Does anyone know the thread size/depth of these screws that would go on 6-ply drums? I figure I could buy after market screws to make it work. Thanks!!!

The lugs you have are for a three ply shell, too short. If you put a six ply lug on a three ply shell, it won`t work , too long. If I was you, I would sell the ones you have and get some made for six ply. You could post in the wanted or for sale section or E-bay.

Very recently dealt with this - can't remember the thread size but it's common and most any well-stocked hardware store will have it in 1/2" length. Take a screw along to match...
