I'm guessing born around 1935. 28" x 14" slingerland wmp bass drum. Is in super shape all the way around. Minor scratches and scuffs(very few in fact) on original WMP. Absolutely no nicks or tears. Can see brass showing through on tee rods and claws. I think originally all hardware was nickel coated. I can still see a few through lugs with some nice finish, some are worn pretty well off down to aluminum. Has calf skin on front and back. Front has a hole cut for mirophone. I have used it off and on for the past 15 years with a pair of heavy duty Danmar USA spurs I bought from John Aldridge I also have what I've always thought were the original spurs but are only about 3.5 or 4 inches long. Both sets are hoop mount. This baby has proven to be a beauty both live and in recording studio. Mainly rented by groups looking for its particular sound in recording studio for past 5 years or so.(To view our facility just search google for golden gate recording studio) Has such a thick but tight thump for a big drum. $500 or make me a resonable offer. Thanks very much.
