not sure if this will help....but when i was cleaning up my ludwigs, i gave it the Novus treatment. also used it on the hardware and it shined it up very nicely. i scrubbed the parts with the #3 first then went over them with the #2 and gave it all a good hand buffing. i was actually very surprised the shine i got from the novus. just a thought tho, Novus may not be the right stuff to use in your case.

I have also used Novus 3&2 on chrome and it worked well. I don't think it works as well on nickel. I think cooper is right.

Yeah I might end up just using the rest of of the cape cod cloths on it and leave it at that. I'm leaning towards trying to sell or trade the snare so I may just end up leaving it to whomever acquires it do anything further.

So one more question...

I saw one member say it's a one piece shell. How do I actually tell if it's a one piece v two piece? I can't find anything in the catalogues giving info towards shell structure.

It will be joined at the bead as two smaller shells if two piece. (horizontal seam) Seamless are drawn out of a doughnut type disk, and one piece will have a vertical seam, visible.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
