Hey folks,

Up for grabs is my 1960's gold sparkle Luddy Pioneer in gold sparkle. This thing is C L E A N!!!! I polished the nickel plated hardware with Cape Cod cloths and waxed the shell with novus and car polish.. I cannot see any blemishes or scratches on the shell whatsoever. I cannot detect any fade either. It looks as close to mint as possible. The nickel hardware is in very nice shape. There is just a tad bit of corrosion on the bottom part of the p83 strainer. There is extremely minor cloudiness on a few places on the rims. It is really minor and doesn't show up in the photos. There seems to be a very minor bend outward in the batter hoop. It looks factory to me. If you look at the picture taken of the top head, you can barely see it at appoximately at the one o' clock position. Very minor. It could probably be bended back in shape fairly easily but I'll leave that to the buyer.

This drum is 100% original with the exception of the batter head. It appears that it was replaced with a later Ludwig head which looks to be late 60's or early 70's. The tension rods, baseball bat muffler, washers and chrome over steel rims are original. The snares are original as are the snare cords. I recently purchased this drum from my cousin who bought it 15 plus years ago at a yard sale. He never took up drums (much like the previous owner). I don't think this drum has been played much and it shows.

I'd rate this drum 8.5 to 9.0 on the condition scale. I'm asking $225 plus $25 shipping in the continental US.
