I haven't seen many of these and I was wondering if anyone knew if this was a common size, lug configuration. Thanks!

Check the 1965 Slingerland snare drum catalog scans in the Drum Guide and see if that is it.
This comes to mind.........
Rare is a weird word to me...... it really only means there aren't a lot of "whatever is being discussed" , but it often has a meaning of "high value" or "collectible" attached to it somehow. And too, while I'm in a strange mental place at times, rarity can come about artificially, I believe. There may be plenty of an item in existence, but if 90% of them are being held only a few individuals, would the item now be considered "rare" because they are not available to everyone else ? Could this be why the expression "these are becoming more and more rare" came about? Not because they don't exist, but because someone else has most of them?
These are the kinds of thoughts that roam around in my head, and occasionally escape into the written word.
Thank-you, or my apologies.... whichever applies the best.....
Nice drum !!
Thanks for the info! I'll check the '65 catalog.
As far as the "Rare" thing goes, I totally agree. It is a strange word to use. I guess there is a fine line between "Rare" and just "hard to get your hands on"
I appreciate the input.
