i know i said i wouldn't sell this one, but it's just acting as a decoration so i would rather it go to someone who will use it.
this one is a 1940's Gretsch round badge snare. size is about 6.5x14 (maybe a little closer to 6.25). is has 8 rocket lugs with brass inserts/tabs. i don't know what to call them, but they aren't swivel nuts. the chrome on the lugs is worn, but they don't appear to be damaged. the shell is 3-ply - maple/maple/mahogany. edges are 30 degree.
it has single flanged hoops that are a bit out of round. the top rim has different clips than the bottom. i don't think the throw is original, but it is a gretsch 4-point. the drum has the original responso snares.
the only damage i can see is two hairline cracks/splits in the inner ply along the grain. one looks like it has been filled with wood filler (see photos). neither seem to be of any concern.
asking $225 plus shipping.
i also have a second set of 8 rocket lugs that i can throw in for an additional $50.
