1964 Gene Krupa Sound King Snare

Yes, the OP's drum is a '63 model. Serial 14xxx and "no line" shell makes sense. The "no line" Krupa was also available in '62 (first year for the C...

For Sale: 1968 Ludwig Hollywood Kit

I think you're missing a digit on your serials, 57,000 does not make sense for '68. 570,000 does. Nice set, GLWS.

How do you log out?

Your screen may be zoomed in too much, if it's over 90%-100% the "log out" option will not be visible. Open the box where you see "Who's Online" as t...

Circa ‘69 drums purchased in 1978? Seems difficult to say for certain how many previous owners.

Slingerland mix their inner plies?

Perhaps some pictures are in order. A maple interior ply would be expected for all 70’s Slingerland kit drums.

Ludwig 18 Bass drum

+1 with thin shell (plied re-rings is just wrong). May just be the picture, or my eyes, but the WMP wrap looks suspect too.

'72 Rogers Set

The "9/72" paper labels were used in '72, '73, '74 and '75. Slight differences in the labels year to year.

Replacing stripped spurs and floor tom bracket on early 70s slingerland kit

No, it is 5/16” diameter, 24 threads per inch and 3/4” long. As Mark stated: 5/16-24 x 3/4. Be sure you have the correct Heli-core kit.
