Thanks gang, played them with the band last night and am REALLY loving them now. Still need to tweak the rack tom tuning as it seems to choke out.

I wouldn't use CA as it makes the wood rock hard. Use standard wood glue and a clamp. You can use a sandable wood putty for any damage that needs fill...
