right handed matched except when playing brushes. Then it's traditional left handed. Can't get a good flutter with brushes playin matched grip.

Stave..DEFINATELY and here's why. FAR easier to build. I once watched a video of a guy build a gorgeous stave drum completely by hand. NO power tools...
