We've all seen the white marine pearl wraps that have aged and turned to a beautiful cream color because of the nitrocellulose in the wrap. But I remember several years ago I saw a Slingerland Parade Drum from the mid-1970s that was actually a little pinkish! I was wondering if anyone else has seen this?

For what it's worth ('cause I have no explaination), I've seen this as well. Not sure it was on a Slingerland, but do remember seeing it. A little more "pink" in it than some of the newer WMP that has some "blue" in it.
I remember at the time I wondered if it had started as some sort of red pearl instead of white and had just faded dramatically...
