I know this is a matter of opinion, but for those of you who have been around a while, which color/pattern of wrap is the most desirable, or brings the most $, or gets people excited?

Thinking Ludwig and Slingerland - ie. WMP, BMP, Gold sparkle, Champagne Sparkle, Blue sparkle, etc

Didn't we just do this?

Edit:

Just did the search ... came up with the rare one. My bad. Thought we had done it but as it turns out, it was a couple of similar threads.

Here's one ...

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I know the rare ones are desireable to a collector, and for $ value, but I mean, what does everyone think is the classic wrap, or the one everyone should have in a collection, or the wrap that epitomizes a time and manufacturer.

Something like, "when I think of vintage Ludwigs, I think of a '67 kit in blue sparkle". Or if two identical kits were for sale, same price and condition, and you could only buy one, would you get the blue or the gold sparkle? Or the Black pearl over the WMP? etc.

In my opinion,

White Marine Pearl symbolizes the 1940s

Blue Sparkle for the 1950s

Black Oyster Pearl for the 1960s

Mod Orange & Psychedelic Red for the 1970s

White or Black Gloss for the 1980s

Cherry Stain for the 1990s

Fades & Sunbursts for the 2000s
