I have some 7a ludwigs from the early 80's and ludwig brushes w/ white rubber handles from 50's-60's ( they show them in the 1959 catalog).

I haven't broken a stick since the 70's. The oldest set I have and still use is a set of 7A's from the 80's. The wood tips are bit chewed up, but they just feel so good in my hands I haven't got the heart to retire them. As a rule though, I don't break sticks, so just about everything I own stick-wise is decades old stuff. Bought some new ones (two sets of Bopworks jazz sticks) last year, be a long time before I buy/need more lumber.

Too many great drums to list here!

I've got a single Slingerland S1. I've been looking for another or a set for years. They're long, with a long thin taper to a large wood tip, so they don't last long, but they are SO nice if you have good stick control.

I have a 50's pair of Ed Thigpen sticks but, I have only used them once for a very brief time. They are simply too valuable for me to take any risks.

Brian

P.S. Mikey, please check your PM's and emails re: Star L-arm. Thanks.

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.
