What year is my Rogers Kit????? Last viewed: 1 day ago
Your kit is probably very early 80's. Can't judge value for you. You might check similar kits in past for sale posts here or any sold on ebay lately and adjust for condition and completeness of your set.

That's the set on C/L right? You have had that on for weeks asking 800.00 sometimes posted two times in a day... You called the set a Rogers XP8 that would date the set from about 1980...XP8 shells are 8ply with no rings and clear inside shell's no paint... A better asking price would be from 500.00 maybe up to 600.00.....Mikey
Yes it has clear inside shells. Anyways, I'm asking $800 because of all the extra hardware included in my add. All the cymbal stands, double bass pedal system, new throne, hihat stand etc.....The kit is definitely worth $700 due to its size and $100 for all that hardware and accecories is a good price. I think it would be too expensive to ship though??
$500 at best. Nobody wants those big drums anymore. You can buy a great brand new kit for $500 from any of the major companies these days.

I will not be as harsh as the previous post writer. But, he is correct up to a point. There are some (not many) older (age 40 and up) players who might like a retro drum set like this to play while wearing a leisure suit or spandex. There might also be some younger players who play "oldies music" to whom the 1980's are ancient history. Maybe some KC and the Sunshine Band tribute group drummer will pop as much as $500 for these very well-made but out dated drums.
Really 800.00 sounds a little high right now,you may get closer to that if you sold the drums/mounts and hardware individually, perhaps 600.00 650.00.For a time the Xp 8 kits were bringing a little more money than the memrilcock 5 ply with re ring kits, but the market seems really volatile right now,it really depends on the day and where the stars are aligned.I have seen memriloc 5 ply's go for 350.00 to 500.00,and some not sell at 450.00 500.00 it just seems to be a buyers market on these right now. Just my 2 cents
