Be patient....this has happened to me and I'm sure many others. Paypal & ebay protects your purchase for at least a month....keep that in mind before you fly off the handleSailing2

I contacted the seller on Mon. to see if my package went out. He said he wasn't able to send it Friday because it was "good Friday" which is a holiday. (Post office doesn't close on good friday) He said it was shipping that Mon. day. A tracking number came up Mon. night but it isn't saying anything other than "Electronic Shipping Info Received" and its said that since Monday. Do I contact this seller again?
That means a package was sent. Those tracking numbers take a few days to update sometimes, by the time they do, your package has arrived.
The tracking # is only of use if the people handling the package scan the package. I've had 2 cases where the package was not scanned and it took 2 weeks to recieve it. In both cases all the Tracking # showed was "information received. When I complained to my Post Master he told me that often happens and they are trying to do the better job. Both packages involved the east coast.
This does make me feel a little better.

If this item is being shipped through the USPS, "Electronic Shipping Info Received" only means that the shipper went online Monday and printed his postage and mailing label. This doesn't guarantee that he actually shipped it. The tracking clock doesn't start until that package is received and accepted by the USPS. At that point, tracking will show an "Acceptance" scan. This seller even admitted that he hadn't shipped the item until after Good Friday (and no, Good Friday is not a National holiday; we were all working here at the Postal Service).
I can attest to another member's post that sometimes (1 out of 500 actually) individual in-route or delivery scans can be missing. This can be attributed to damaged or illegible bar codes, or scanner failure. Letter carriers are currently using scanners designed 15 years ago with no "real-time" transmitting capability. This is being remedied with a new generation of smart-phone type of scanners that will instantly upload scans to the USPS.com site and improve tracking significantly. Some cities have already deployed these.
I like to show a non-commercial seller the same consideration I would want to be granted when I ship. Sometimes, things just get busy in our lives and shipping an eBay item takes second place to work and family.
Been checking the tracking on the drum daily. Looks like it came into MI (my state) today. That is the only tracking info on the whole thing. Just glad to be getting my drum. I wasn't/haven't been stressed, worried, about the drum itself. In the big picture this is all just "fun junk!" I didn't however want to be out over $200.
If I ever did sell on ebay I wouldn't have an item for sale and hold someones money for a week without contacting them. I dont think it matters whether your a business or personal seller. I think it comes down to common courtesy. If he had emailed me and explained his situation this wouldn't have been an issue at all and I would still give him positive feedback.
I had something similar happen from a seller with 100% feedback. I think it was for a rim that was a BIN. I didn't get any shipping info for about a week and I paid what seemed to be high shipping for what the item was but I was ok with that. I finally resorted to emailing him and nicely explained how much I would dislike leaving negative feedback on someone in good standing. He got back a day or 2 later and told me he was busy and out of town etc. and was apologetic. I can understand that but the fear of getting duped definitely goes through the mind. He sent it out priority, refunded me full shipping paid, and refunded half the purchase price. After that I was more than happy to leave positive feedback. Contact is key. Give 'em a chance before hitting the negative button. This guy went above and beyond to make up for his tardiness and in the end, we were both happy.

Take it easy. I wouldn't take any drastic measures until he stopped communicating or something. Nobody's perfect.

I agree. I contacted him probably 3 different times. All he did was say that the drum had been shipped for me to be patient. Never "let me do this for my mistake."
