What the heck is this? Slingerland? 7 lugs?!? Last viewed: 1 day ago

Looks kinda like Radio King lugs, but the seller says it has 7 lugs per side. He posits Frank Wolf but I don't know where anyone would find a 7-lug rim without making it themselves. And the leg brackets are ones I don't recall seeing either. Anyone know what this drum is?

Dandy/Drouyn people post on here occasionally about either 7 or 9 lugged floor toms. I forget which. Looks like a very well built drum.

Too bad there's no inside the shell pictures. That can help. Yep the lugs do look Slingerland. Cool it has the hoops included. Nice drum and may be a good deal. Hope you get some more info about it.

I have a 40's 20"x16" Slingerland floor tom that only has 9 lugs per side. I was very lucky to get a set of new old stock COB single flange hoops with it. I doubt I'd ever find a pair of 9 hole 20" tom hoops. If there is even such a thing.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Appears to be European in origin. Possibly Czech or Hungarian?

Try perusing this website and see if you don't find a match:

I had a 7 lug MIJ copy floor tom once. Weirdest thing to tune ever! I always refer to lugs that are across from one another & in this case it was a real head scratcher!

I rescued this 3pc Sound Percussion kit from a thrift store for $25. It was wrapped in black pvc that had really bubbled! Got some gorgeous Abalone Pearl, now discontinued, from Jammin Sam.

The 8x12 rack tom is a 4-lug and the 15x15 floor tom is a 5-lug! I better not loose those hoops! LoLoLoLo

Speaking of 5 hole hoops. I have a pair of 16" 5 hole hoops if anyone happens to need them.

And I thought my 15" 5-lug hoop was weird! Eye Ball
