What the heck is this bass???

Picked up a few odd pieces. Usual story... "hey, I've got some beat-up old drums in the basement that my father (grandfather, uncle etc.) used to play. Don't know what they are, but they're yours if you want them."

Well, with visions of vintage Rogers and Ludwigs dancing in my head, I went to an old farmhouse to pick them up and was quite surprise by what was presented to me... a late '30s Leedy floor tom, a turn-of-the-century snare, an old ludwig high hat with ancient cymbals, and a bass drum which I couldn't begin to identify. I've never seen anything like it. It's 5 or 6 ply (no rerings), 24x10, single-tension with metal counter hoops! Front calfskin intact; batter head is gone. Wood base attached to the metal rims, and a strange little wooden accessory mount. No labels or manufacturers marks.

Pictures attached. Anyone have any idea on its age, origin, or lineage?

Looks like almost the same kind of deal I got in around 1985 for $30!

Started me as a vintage drum dealer,as I flipped them all for $300!

The BD looks like a old,old Leedy.......love that cradle for it! Unusual!

Clean those puppies up,and lets see the later pics..

Looks to me like a stationary bass drum set-up,like maybe a Merry-go-round or some other mechanical music machine from the early 1900's.

To me the bass drum looks by the T-rods to be a Leedy made sometime in about 1905-15..On the wood stand on the bass drum,is it screwed onto the rim? or does the rim move with out the stand moving? Why i ask on the small piece of wood at the top if i recall right that should fold down flat that way you could mount the bass drum pedal to that and no to the rim....Mikey

How about some close ups of the snare drum and floor tom, they look pretty cool too.

As far as that base for the bass drum goes,,, my first impression was it is home made thing but Im sure I am wrong. Is there any sign of any other type of legs? Just wondering.
