Good evening drummers. I got an old snare drum I believe be from the late 20's early 30's. I am just wondering if anybody recognizes this drum and could tell me the maker. It's stamped "1877" on the inside of the re-ring but I doubt that it's a date. I'm kinda new to drums of this age so I just wonder what you all think. It is one ply mohogany, with maple rings at the top and bottom, 10x14, natural finish, no finish inside, the strainer seems to never had any kind of quick release arm, 8 lug, and there are absolutely no markings other than the stamp on the inside.

Judging from the claws, it looks like an old Ludwig, or WFL marcher. I converted one into a rack tom for a woody kit I built. Very resonant drums.

Too many great drums to list here!
