I have an opportunity to purchase this kit for $950. It is the WFL Porto Pak three piece with all original hardware. 5x13 six lug snare, 8x12 rack and 12x22 bass drum. The original hardware is included. I know that I cannot turn these for much profit but I keep coming back to them. No completed listings on ebay. It appears to be a faded gold or silver sparkle. The store says they are in great shape (8.5 out of ten). Thoughts?

I can see why you keep coming back to them! :)
If you don't *need* to make much profit, the drums certainly seem worth the price. Really quite beautiful. 13" WFL snare is a bit of a gem....I'm thinking of making a 13" snare out of a Ludwig CS 13" power tom, they're just such little firecrackers!
Anyway, I dunno.....go for it!! :)

You are correct. I don't buy to flip anyway. I just always want to make sure I can get my money back and not lose. For me though, there just does not seem to be a market for these portable type kits that do not have a floor tom. I have had a couple of Slingerland 2N Jobbing kits or Swing Master kits that ultimately sold for <$500. I know Ludwig holds value better, but I do not see any evidence in completed items from FleeceBay.
If these are a GC offering I know that they are wildly inconsistent with their prices on used gear...usually they're overpriced. Not sure if they will negotiate though.
Good thing is, if a floor tom ever comes up in that finish, you're all "set" ;)
Small price to pay for an original piece of history...Sounds and looks like a nice little kit...If all original, it will hold it`s value...
Cheers
