WFL Aluminum Badge

Loading...

OK,

I have an interesting one. I just picked up a 20' x 14" WFL WMP bass drum with an aluminum badge. It has nickel hardware, including what looks like a Gretsch cymbal mount. So I have questions.

1) was it common to have a Gretsch cymbal mount on these drums?

2) what year would this drum be? Because of the size of the kick I thought maybe the badge had been changed, but it looks original. Was this a common size during this era?

Thanks

Norm

WFL DID NOT put G. holders on their drums!

So the Slingerland tom holder and what looks like a Gretsch diamond holder (but does not have a Gretsch marking) are put on after the purchase of the drum?
