Want to sell my Yamaha Stage Custom - what are they worth? Last viewed: 1 day ago

I'm interested in knowing what someone would be willing to pay (realistically) for a 6-piece Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage kit, 8/10/12/14/22 + matching wood snare (5.5x14). I'm thinking about selling my kit to help fund a vintage set of Ludwig Club Dates or SuperClassics... I usually check the Bay to gauge price points but these don't come up often.

My kit has never seen the outdoors and is in excellent condition; I bought it in early 2003. Any help would be appreciated.

Kits:
1966 Ludwig Hollywood Gold Sparkle Pearl 12/13/16/22
Star 3pc in Red Glass Glitter (1960's)
Snares:
1959 Ludwig Pioneer Mahogany
60's Ludwig Pioneer Gold Sparkle
60's Ludwig Acrolite (Keystone)
Ludwig/Custom 6.5x14
1960's Bolero (MIJ)

What finish? Long or standard lugs? YESS Mounts? Do they have Noveau lugs?

A little more info would help.

Sorry, I know I left a lot of detail out...

It has the YESS mounts for all the toms, standard lugs. Color is that translucent, dark forest green (stain finish, not a wrap).

I would post a picture but everything I have is shot from a distance; I'll need to get it set up again and take pictures to sell it (they're all in drum bags at the moment).

This is the Yamaha spec page for my kit:

Ok, that helps. Is it a glossy or matte finish? Can you see the woodgrain through it?

I would think $500 would be at the very top of the "fair price" scale. I think around $400 would be a reasonable expectation.

Yes you can see the wood grain. Visually, it's a very nice looking set.

400-500 isn't bad; I remember, at the time, the bill being close to a G by the time I was leaving the store with them... Fortunately, I really didn't use them much over the years so they stayed in pretty much the condition I bought them in.
