It seems to be a frankendrum... the badge layout and lugs are in the configuration for a marching bass drum. Perhaps they took the hardware of an old marcher. I also believe that there were backing plates on the lugs on the vistalites... I don't see any in those pictures...

From this one Youtube expert on Ludwigs (and specifically Vistalites) I think the easiest way to tell if it's an original 1970s Ludwig-produced shell, or a reissue Ludwig from the last 15 years, is the seam design:

- Shell thickness: Ludwig's originals are around .253 of an inch thick as are the Gold N Times-produced and RCI-produced reissues. (In a different video, this guy notes that the post-2008 Vistalite reissues are not consistently at this thickness)

- 4:42 in the video, the seam differences between 1970s Ludwig (V groove on the inside), Gold N Times (very thin seam with a reinforcement tab on the outside) and RCI Starlite (V groove on the outside)

NOT slingerland spurs, although at first glance they looked similar. Those are some generic stuff

my vote is Ludwig marcher, badge sideways, claws are marcher, gold inlay is correct, as they didn't have vistalite hoops? clear shells had silver sparkle inlays. no extra holes were other lugs may have been. after market spurs.

That drum may have come from my neck of the woods. It was in fact a marching drum when it was offered to me some years ago. It was kind of cool but I had no use for it. This looks just like the same drum but I am thinking whoever purchased it added the spurs.
