Can someone tell me what this old Slingerland Mahogany Snare is worth?

and any other info about it. By the badge it appears to be a 1956-1959.

My guess is a student radio king, 3 ply shell mahogany

poplar mahogany. Cool drum, can't help with the value though, no doubt someone on the forum will chime in and give you an idea.

Stevo is correct a student model radio king, with the 3 point strainer arm missing, in the 200.00 225.00 range.

The handle is on it. Here is a better pic. The nickel plate looks pretty nice on this drum and all parts are here. Any ideas of the value now? I think I can get more than 225.00 for the parts so I think the drum is worth more than that.

Ok I didn't see the 3 point handle in your first pic The student RK'S , they sale on ebay all day long in the 200-250.00 range they are worth much more but that is what they sale for. You can almost always get more sale value out of striping the drum down and selling the parts. I watch them all the time I am an ebay seller.

If you are buying it to flip it, or part it out, you will probably be disappointed with the results.

Not saying this is your intention, but buying an intact vintage drum and parting it out is the act of a douchebag.

However, if you want a great player, it's a great drum.

Nickel over brass hoops, very wide dynamic range, mine is my every day player. It gets quiet when I want to be quiet, and when I lay into it, it gets loud.

No idea what the OP's plans are. Appears to be in a music store. Coulda saved myself a bunch of polishing if this one is up for $225. Oh well.

Great snares. The reso does need to be cranked to get them to really snap.
