Nice find there Zen! Hard to say for sure without closer inspection, but I also agree with KO's assessment/theory on it. I have seen some badges with the numbers out of alignment. They aren't usually quite out of line as yours thought. I too love oddity drums and have quite a few. Please put me on the waiting list if you ever plan on selling it. KO was correct in that I do have a chrome 8 lug Supra. Have seen just a few. None with bowtie lugs though. Here is a shot of mine. Mine has the Ludwig freckles, no extra cost..lol. Found this drum through a forum member in Puerto Rico a few years ago.

Very Cool!! Thanks mike! Kinda been thinking it's a keeper as of now, just so cool...

As for value, is it something I should look into insuring, or is it just a few hundred dollar item?

Kinda funny when I read these posts,I start to wonder how many of these were given to a child to do whatever they want with it and have gotten trashed.

Nice snare by the way, I would try to keep the stickers off it.

LOL! Wayne, I bought my son some sticks at the store, but might keep this one for myself and buy another one for him. Lol

Is it possible that this is a chrome plated brass shell?

Would the inside part of the snare be a brass color or an off yellow tone? Or would it be hard to tell. I used a magnet on the shell and it didn't have a magnetic pull.didnt stick.
