viking cymbal stand

Loading...

My wife found a deal at a local thrift store

she got me a Mapex top of the line snare drum stand $10, an old Tama stand that looked like a Rogers stand $3 and a Viking cymbal stand $10. Does anybody have any information on the Viking stand. It is very heavy and well rusted but should clean up

Viking was a house brand for a local music store here in the DC area. The store was Veneman Music. They had basic black kits and I think the hdwr was trying to be in line with Hercules. Their house brand of guitars was Bradley (copies of Les Pauls, etc..). I am guessing it is the same Viking and just made its way up north. Hope this helps.

i had a set of viking drums with hardware and a lot of the hardware was very poorly designed. i had to replace all the tom mounts, the spur mounts, and the thumb screws on the stands were two piece and came apart.

I still have an addon 8" and 10" tom set that I bought in the mid 80's that are Viking. I bought from a mail order catalog ... can't remember the name of the company or where they were ... but the catalog was blue.

They are relatively cheap and have never sounded as good as the Tama Swing Star set that I bought them to go along with.
