That's a really nice and rare drum! Is it solid maple? Most likely, as it has the tone control which didnt appear until about 1932-34. You'll need to find the correct throw-off but that is a really nice and collectible snare drum. With a solid shell and no tone flange, it could also be a great player.

But WHY is it sitting on cement???

Ah.....That places the drum a bit earlier, probably 1930. Does it have a tone flange?

I don't thinks it's a tone flange model, because it has the Harold R. Dodd muffler..

Oops...Of course! You are correct. It's interesting- most of the mahogany shell drums have tone flanges while the solid maple versions never seem to (in my experience). Either way, that is a nice drum!

P.S. That's "Todd" not "Dodd"! :-)
