The kit is in good condition for being 40+ years old and has no issues other than described below as best that I can. The kit is a collectors item and can be brought back up to a highly collectible item with some cleaning and restoration work. They are very rare kits and I personally feel that this is more of an item to show off rather than to play. Yes you can play the kit of course but the heads have aged and some find it

cool and others would want them replaced to make the kit playable. My Father was a drummer by trade and passed away last May. These kits were made in Germany in the 50's and 60's and I have not seen many here in the states. A full restoration would dramatically bring this kit to a higher value as this kit was once Purple Sparkle and has faded into this Pinkish Sparkle which is normal and brings the cool-ness factor into play as a conversation peice.

This set is for a person who loves collectible rare items and has the time to work on this kit, I have only seen one kit like this in the U.S and if you google trixon speedfire and select images you will find a fully restored pink speedfire. I have not seen this color anywhere else in the world thus its unique features. Update: New heads from Remo (Coated EMPS) are now on all the drums including the kick drum. Found some old hardware for the kit and added some vintage cymbals. More pics available. Asking 7,000 or best offer for the kit.

Found a set just like this, same color even,in Lansing,Michigan around 23 years ago at a pawn shop.

It was missing the bars to mount the toms though, and I had some made up.

Sold them to a friend.....they are still here in Michigan.

What a very cool set you have! It brings back great memories for me when I was a little kid. Our local "everything" department store had one in gold sparkle up high on display behind the counter and it what all us drummers wanted. No idea what ever happened to the set after the store closed...

Good luck with your sale.

It was very cool to put this back into playable condition. Having said that, the kick drum skins were a B**ch to get even and sound decent. It stil needs a tweek but letting it settle a bit before adjusting again. I have the old skins which the kick side was made from calfskin ??????? it is in good condition and you can see other pics using this link>>>>
