Thoughts on adding a Slingerland 599 bracket to vintage WTP BD for ride cym. Last viewed: 1 day ago

The kit consists of a 14/28 k, 10/15 tt, 16/18 ft. 3-ply, re-ring, large and beautiful. I, by pure luck, rescued these poor fellas (long story) and had them doctored and pampered by a restoration guru here in Nashville, TN. Drummers, friends and acquaintances are consistently wowed, and I'm so very proud. I'm itching to add a traditional bracket, in a, or the, traditional location on the bd shell for a ride cymbal arm. If this was a preference even back in the day (1968-70), then, I guess, placement liberty can be taken. I DO NOT wish to detract from any value. I DO like the Buddy config. with the two 599s @ approx. 10:30 mid shell, and 2:30 toward the reso side. If there is an exact traditional placement, I'm all for it. Or, if it's a preference and no harm will be done, it would be an easier process. Please, all synapse firings welcome. No blind fold here. Thanks!

Great sizes by the way I love big tubs also!! Question how tall are you because if your under 6 feet man that will be one stretch to hit that 12x15 on top of a 28" bass drum?

Ah, yes. 5'-9" on a good day w/the wind. Big boy #1 is off to the left on a Gauger rim and modified Magnum bracket (1/2" milled) supported by a DW 9991 tt stand. The Set-O-Matic platform is very lonely at this point.
