SAZ, Can you enlighten me on the Ludwig cymbal dampener that attached to the bracket holding the cymbal on the bass drum that was hit with the "clanger" attached to the pedal beater? I think it was in the early catalogs and had a string to attach to a little metal loop at the top (near the beater ball) of the beater shaft. The function was to dampen the cymbal when the beater returned to its original position. I am also curious about the "alternating" feature that has a half tom tom mount looking mechanism at the bottom of the pedal post. Maybe I can find some photos to make this clearer, it certainly is hard to describe. In the meantime, here are some more pedal photos. Thanks, Joe
