Hey guys first time poster here.

I am in the market for a vintage drum set and came across this 1961 Ludwig on craigslist.

its 700 obo 3 piece ludwig 12in 16in 22in

can anyone tell me what color wrap this and if its a decent deal if all is well with the condition.

Hi Jordan,..Welcome to this great forum!!. Yes for 700.00 the price is fair.The color is Sky Blue Pearl..The only thing i can see wrong with the set is that the mount on the 12" tom has been change to a M.I.J. newer mount maybe some extra holes under the mount...Mikey

See the original cymbal arm mount in 1 pic?

Generic FT legs aslo.........

I would pass........better deals out there....

The only cymbal mount I see is on the left side of the bass. Either custom order, or added for a lefty. That combo of sizes would make me think it was 12/13/16 originally, making the mount correct.Floor tom legs look ok to me for that era. I'd definately go check them out. I love sky blue pearl! Low, but not door buster price. Way worth the $700, you can always try an offer. Go check them out, or I might have to drive to Fresno Saturday {I'm In San Luis Obispo}..............

You know, you could take that left mounted bracket, and move it to the tom. Probably where it came from. Plug the 2 holes with carriage bolts. They'll be under the 12", won't even be noticed. You may have an extra hole on the tom from the MIJ piece, but it'll be under the tom mount......

So unless i get it for like 5-600 you'd pass? the one tom mount in the middle is correct right? then theres a like "handle" mount or something on the kick right?

I dont know anything about vintage drums aghhh

okay i got some mixed feelings about this one! what does the original tom mount look like? thanks for the help.

OK so the mount in the middle of the bass drum is a lil larger than the usual? is that why you're saying it might be a double tom mount?

So you're saying its a good deal for the 700 or would you only take it for 600? are the drums maple? also the bass drum tom mount (the one in the middle) you're saying i could add that to the tom? and then move the cymbal mount (the one that looks like a handle) to the right side of the bass drum?
