Hi, I recently purchased a Tama Imperialstar drum kit. It is used, and was advertised as a 1986 set. It is in mint condition, the color is red....but based on the serial numbers and Tama history catelogs online, it appears that it could be older, I'm thinking it's from 1975 to 1978. It looks as if it might be an 8500 Series, Saturn 7 kit (minus the snare drum...which did not come with the kit). Here are the serial numbers: 9x13 concert tom: 032388, 10x14 concert tom: 032120, 12x15 concert tom: 032067, 14x16 concert tom: 032043, 16x18 floor tom: 135905, and 14x24 bass: 124621. I was wondering if anyone could help me find the year this kit was manufactured. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
