Hello Guys
I recently acquired a vintage snare drum. I believe it is a c1937 Carlton 5 ½” x 14” with a green glitter finish. I'm pretty sure both skins are made from calf.
Does anyone know how rare this drum is or what it might be worth? Thanks

It's very rare if you're in the States, less so if you're in the UK. I've got a Carlton King from 1937. Yours looks like a Standard. I wouldn't hazard a guess as to its worth. They were very good drums, but not a lot of people are familiar with them.
Thanks Stephen. I'm in the UK, so I guess it's not that rare.
From Huw, a very old drummer. (but not as old as my Carlton)
sweet drum. thanks for sharing!
