Did the Radio King come out of Michigan? I was trying hard to buy it, but I think you beat me. If it's the drum from Michigan, I'd say you have some outstanding restoration skills. Started like this?Nice drum - single ply. jim

Yes, that's the drum, I did wait a couple of days before I went after it after you posted it. I thought he had sold it to you cause he didn't get back to me for over a week at one point. The interior was sweet, but every surface of the exterior had layer upon layer of rust, some kinda green rubbery paint overspray stuff, grime and gunk on it. It took every product I had on the shelf and some clandestine techniques to clean her up.

I worked on her every day for eight days and she still has a bit to go....

I think I ****ed him off, seriously. The seller was about 45 minutes drive from my office, but the missing lever was an issue for me, because I had no idea if it would be possible to find one. After learning that reproduction levers were available, I asked for a price break equal to the cost. After that, I never heard from him. Good for you. Nice drum.

Kev, just a heads up for you...

Did you know that having THAT many Ludwig snares is very dangerous! I think I read that on the web someplace. Some notice from the Surgeon Corporal or someone that looked like him or maybe they just wear the same type of hat... I don't know, I can't remember. However, being the good guy I am and all that I'll help you out. Ship me about a half a dozen or so of 'em... assorted colors are no problem. Then you'll be safe.

Just trying to help ya out, bro...

Why does that tone muffler location on the Geo. Way look odd to me? Is it because my eyes are crappy or is that knob closer to the bottom head then the top?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
