once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I can't see the pictures or price, but I'm guessing it's the size of the kit, especially the 18" floor tom. If you're a gigging drummer, the last thing you want to haul around is a huge floor tom. I personally don't like the sound or feel of a floor that big. I think most drummers don't want a floor that big, unless they were going to convert it into a kick or end table.Excited

Johnny R that is because no one plays Rock music today the state of music today is just plain horrible , all these 3 chord no guitar lead songs by a million groups for that music all you need is a small kit and even then they don't use it .... If i was playing I would buy this kit in a heartbeat great sizes at a great price... good luck with the sale..

My experience is that people just aren't ask quick to pull the trigger, unless you find someone who is just in the market for a kit close by. I have had good BIN items sit for 120 days before someone pulled the trigger, and that with a number of watchers. People just don't have as much disposable income right now, so many times, they watch, but are still waiting for THEIR thing to sell in order to finance it.

This is a little short sighted. I gig regularly with a 26" kick and a 20" floor tom, and I love it. These sizes are very desirable for many drummers.

Really? I don't think I could even fit those sizes in my car. You don't need "big" drums to get a "big" sound. I get all the volume I need with my 12,14,20 set up, stick a mic on the kick and boom!

Mike, I'm talking about guys who are gigging around town in small venues, cnw20 asked why he couldn't sell his kit, I was just giving my opinion.

I had a 26 13 16 18 in black. Complete from 1978, no cracks. Ended up selling it for $900. It seems like aside from white, black are the least sought after of vistas

I don't think its the sizes, just that they are opaque.

For someone who likes the sound of Vistalite's I'd think the issue with opaque black is that you get all of the fear of shell cracking without the opportunity to "show off" your translucent kit.
