Still looking!

I really, really want to finish my 1940 Radio King snare. If anybody has a 3-point strainer, please contact me and lets see if we can't work out an equitable swap, or swap + cash.

HELP!

It's funny but i posted an ad recently about looking to buy a 3 point strainer and no one replied. I know the 3 point strainer is out there it's not a rarity and the asking price for a complete 3 point strainer is just insane. $150 is what people are asking. I hate to see what the price is going to be when the economy gets better

eric - there are guys with basements full of drums and parts just waiting for the market to bounce back!

Yeah, the prices on some items are ridiculous. Try buying anything vintage Camco. You have to enter into indentured servitude for life and let the guy sleep with your wife if you want to buy any George Way stuff. Just the way it is. If it's rare, it'll command a price. Example: 3-point strainers!

You're right, John. Luckily I was able to find a George Way Casino snare many years ago without getting my wife "involved" in the transaction! It's much tougher these days to do so. I'll keep my eye open (the one that actually functions!) for you in regard to the 3-point strainer! Good luck in your search.
