Help!!! May be a silly question, but when someone lists used Slingerland snare wires, is there anyway to tell that they are actually Slingerland. The ones I've seen don't say the name anywhere so I didn't buy them.
Thanks!

Ive found in a music shop next to my house NOS slingerland snappy wires. I'll get home and I'll check for you if there is something that indicates they are slingerlands.
Thanks very much, that's very helpful
Just checked the original wires off my '47 radio king. Doesn't say slingerland on them anywhere. I don't know how you would tell if they aren't marked.
Slingy guys?
Slinger ones have a row or raised ribs on them...maybe 10-15 ribs.........

Here are pictures of the ones on my 1970-71 COS Festival snare. They have no branding on them, but do have those raised "ribs" on each end where the wire attaches.
Question is, is that any different than other brands of vintage replacement wires. If not, how can one really tell what is Slingerland and what is just an old looking replacement?
Thanks all.
