Slingerland Snare Questions

Loading...

I found this cool 5.5"x14" Slingerland snare on Craigslist recently for cheap and picked it up mainly for the color - green sparkle - to go along with a red Premier Artist Maple kit at church for Christmas. From what I've been able to find, the badge and serial date it to around 1967. I found pictures of a similar snare and it said it was the Artist series. Can anyone verify?

Also, it's missing the damper, original snare wires, and has a couple screws that aren't original. Would it be worth replacing these? Where could I find the parts? Any guesses on the value?

Is it the Artist series? Is that without the parts? How much would the right parts affect the value? I'm probably keeping it, but just trying to figure out what I have.

you may get 325 or so but that is top money for a plied slingeland artist. with it being green sparkle maybe a little more. but that is with the correct parts.
