Hi,

I came across a RK for sale and it said the rail mount was "the strong and rare small tom holder" Can anyone confirm this is for a vintage RK?

Thanks,

rjv

Yes, that is spring-loaded, Lock-Quick mount. Definitely correct for Radio Kings. Sorry the photo is so small.

P.S. The Radio King set in the photo appears to have been re-wrapped. Looks great, though!

That's pretty neat I never saw one of those. Looks like a really nice set of RK's too.

Definitely looks like a rewrap. The bass drum hoop looks like it was repainted as well. I could be wrong, but that's what I see.

Definite re-wrap. I recognized that "blue-ish" pearl that Precision sells. It's nice looking wrap, though and a good choice for a 40's RK set..

I thought they were a re wrap as well. When I first started my RK orphan project I had no idea what to expect sounds wise. By far some of the best sounding drums ever made. I'm hooked on them now. :) Good stuff there! If your in the market and the price is right you'll love em!

Wow, I've never seen that holder before. Very cool.
