A couple of questions for the Slingerland experts. I never thought I would find a 14" Capri Pearl floor tom, let alone one that was a close match, but amazingly one turned up reasonably local to me! A couple of questions though. It doesn't have a date stamp, but does have push button legs etc. Interior is slightly darker than my 16" floor, and it has a red damper with a slightly different knurled nut. But all reasonably similar to the other floor. It came with two unused Slingerland Calf heads. Just wondering if it's possible to narrow the date down just out of curiosity.

Typically the floor toms were not date stamped, or had badges for that matter. My guess is mid 50's.

Thanks. Just trying to figure out which is the newer damper/muffler, the red one or the grey one? There are subtle differences between them.

I'd say the red one is older. My 59's are all gray.
