Up for sale is my original Slingerland Buddy Rich Copper 80N drum set.

I purchased this kit in May of 1975 and special ordered it from our local music store, complete with Cadillac Sacks for all drum sizes. (see photos). This is a beautiful warm sounding kit from the 70's, a real testament to Slingerlands quality!

Included is the following:

1-No.121 Super Sound King 6-1/2" x 14" snare drum, Badge No. 170618. Solid brass shell-triple chrome plated, dual snare strainer, internal muffler.

1- No. 1382 Rocket Snare drum stand.

1-10" x 14" Rack Tom, Badge No. 166754.

1-16" x 16" 3-leg floor tom, Badge No. 164916.

1-18" x 16" 4-leg floor tom, Badge No. 164904.

1- 14" x 22" Bass Drum, Badge No. 164991 with No. 933 internal muffler.

2- No. 66 Buddy Rich Floor Cymbal Stands.

2- No. 599 Shell Mount Tilt Cymbal Holders, (L-arms)

1- No. 806 Dynamo Hi Hat.

1- Relaxon Throne.

* Cymbals and Bass drum Foot pedal not included.

* Chrome on stands and hardware is in Good to Excellent condition.

* Copper covered Maple Shells with reinforcing hoops.

* The Copper as many of you know does tarnish and bleim, overall condition of copper is good. (see Photos)

** This set was special ordered starting with the 80N kit. I substituted the 9 x 13 for the 10 x 14, the 5-1/2 x 14 for the 6-1/2 x 14 Super sound King and just one of the floor toms to a 18 x 16. I was looking for a bigger sound on the rack tom and second floor tom. The snare has warm deep crack and I was very happy with the change in sizes I made. My original receipt shows the kit starting with the 80N, and yes I still have it.

Any questions or close-up pictures you may want, please e-mail me.

Available at $3895.00, cash only on pickup.

Thank you, Doug

How is this a Buddy Rich kit? Besides the wrap, it's not even the sizes he used, just curious.

Yeah, that's a good question. But I do notice that it has the doubled bass drum spurs.

Hello johnnyringo,

Thanks,

Doug

These Cadillac sacks are made extremely well. Reinforced handles and seems, very nice padded interior linings. I like these covers better than the Humes & Berg set I have. Thanks for asking.
