Hello,
I just bought a 20x14 inch Slingerland Basdrum. The wrap is WMP. There is an oval black and brass Chicago badge on the drum with a curl in the S. There is no mount for a tom holder. In stead of that there is what I think a cymbalholder wich has the inscription ''Slingerland Chicago U.S.A.''. This object is a brass about 10 cm metal strip attatched with two bolds to the drum. In the middle of the strip there is a folded metal strip which has room to put a round cymbal holder our perhaps tom holder in it. In the middle of the folded strip is a ''wing'' bold wich opens and closes the folded strip.
The basdrum has four legs, eight t-rods and Radioking type claws on each side. The T-rods are called Bowtierods?
I searched on this site and for all I know from the information I found the drum was built between 1957 and 1959.
Can anyone give me some information about this drum?
Thanks in advance.
