Hey, just got an 804 flush base Slingy hi hat stand off eBay. First thing I did was stretch the spring out and that went a long way towards quickening the action. But I'm still getting a little bit of give (maybe a mm or two) where the top portion of the rod connects with the lower spring portion. Theres like a little hinge piece connected with rivets, and the rivets are too small/holes they are passing through have widened, so that when I close the hats I feel that little unpleasant bit of slack + hear a slight popping sound. Anyone else had this problem with the 804, or similarly designed stands? Or is this just how they were designed? Anyone know of a way to tighten that connection up so its nice and snug? Thanks.
