SLINGERLAND 30’s 4”X13” SINGLE TENSION SNARE DRUM

Loading...

This is clearly a very special drum. It belongs to the Universal Model series made from 1928-1941.

I tend to think this was a custom order, because during this period only nickel and mahogany finishes were used for this production. The walnut finish was only seen in the professional 8 lugs models. Also, the wood shells in these Universal models were 4”x14”. This snare is 4”x13”. Very rare for that era.

This snare features the #674 Shur-Grip strainer introduced in 1934.

Considering its age, this drum looks awesome! The beautiful dark walnut finish presents just a few scratches, but nothing serious.

Cloud Badge in excellent shape.

The #674 Shur-Grip strainer works flawless!

100% Original, but the heads

I'm asking $175.00 for it plus shipping.

Thanks!

Are you sure that it's walnut rather than mahogany?
