Hello there guys, I am in the market for two single braced cymbal stands.
Does anyone have any experience with ones currently on the market?
Thanks
Ron

I use the Yamaha 742 Series (think that's the number). Very sturdy; I hang a 13" tom off one. Relatively inexpensive, too. Check ebay for used ones - think I paid under $30 for a VGC straight stand. Guitar Center has them as well.

Is this the one?
That's the Series. (You're quick!)
I have had some of these stands for around 15 years, now. Very reliable and the joints are all still firm - no worn out rivets or anything. Light enough to carry a bunch, also.
Happy shopping!

Ah, do you think the boom's hide away? I'd rather get the boom if I can turn it into a straight stand, if not, oh well.
I have two different booms and both hide away.

The Yamaha single-braced booms are fantastic. I use them with my Slingerlands with complete confidence. They're also easy to haul. Whenever they show up on my local craigslist, I can usually get them for around $30-$35.

Just want to double check, do your booms hide away?
Yes. Yamaha invented that feature. I'm pretty sure that all of their booms hide.
