He should have stopped about 300 bucks ago when he had an actual real honest person of the flesh buyer. Bet he's kicking himself.
Can you say..... Second chance offer?
I knew you could...........LOL

I wouldn't take that bet on a "non-shill" bet!
I grew up in Auction Houses & we all knew who the plants were...shameful self-serving a$$holes. If you don't want to play fair, get out of the game. SleezeBay doesn't give a $hit about honesty, they are a billion dollar a year conglomerate that spends more time raking cash than taking care of a$$holes like this...they don't care. It's sad that there're idiots like me when I started buying stuff on the site that fall for the "testosterone bidding" that ends up jacking this crap up. The only thing that stops this nonsense is educating the buyers, which as you guys know, doesn't happen. Another problem (as I know well) is some kid jumping on his dad's 'puter & blowing up an auction!...they're like "killer dude, give me another a hit...lets see how far we can jack this bidding". Caught my son doing this with a dummy account he'd setup...my only thought was, how many times have I been "deep probed" by crap like this.
Ok, so fill me in here- let's say it ends up actually being relisted; do we have any recourse? Or do these jerks go to the highest legit bidder and offer it to them offsite? They won't want to double down on their fees, right?

I am sure that once the "legitimate-money" ceiling is ascertained, via the zero-feedback schill bidder, an email will be heading to that person who set the ceiling, provided it was high enough. That email will read: "Man, the guy who won my auction didn't come through with the money. He is a real piece of work. Anyways, if you are still interested, I will sell it to you outright for xxx amount of dollars."

Ok that makes sense. I hope the highest "real" bidder reports them but we all have heard that nothing really happens so long as Feebay gets their money.Soap Box
A few years ago when you could see the ID of persons bidding, and had cross referencing to other bids by the same ID on other auctions, and a 30 day history for all of that, shilling was much easier to spot. I busted quite a few shills. Under the current format, it is practically impossible to spot without the 0 feedback and very recent join date.
I have gotten very wary of ebay.
