sabian hi hats Last viewed: 12 hours ago

Hello all.

I picked up a pair of Sabian pro sonix hi hats and figured they would go good with my slingerland cutaway concert toms...are they a good choice or should i hang them on the wall in my music room and pick a different pair and brand?

The price was right so i won't be out much if they are not good..I am still putting together my second kit the slingerland toms and my MIJ kick drum pretty much starting from scratch and so far so good..any and all info is a great help.

Depends on what you like in a set of hi-hats. They appear to be heavy, loud rock hats, a bit clangy for my tastes on the top hat, but if that's a sound you like, try it on.

If a cymbal sounds good to you, then it will "go" with any drum or other cymbal. Your touch, style, and drum sound will make all experiences vary. I play 13" K/Z hats, which I have heard people refer to as "shrill", "high-pitched", or "clangly", yet I find them expressive, articulate, and appropriate for nearly any gig. I have never had a bandmate or audience member complain about them.
