Maple Superten drums only came from the era of Big R badges.

The badge on this drum was used until 1975. Seems like a COS mid-70's Superten gave up it's parts to make this drum.

No idea what that shell is, but it does look Ludwig-y.

The thing to do would have been to build a nice clone using a new Keller shell; either a 5-ply with rings for the pre-79 era or a 10-ply/no rings for the XP8 era.

Pardon, Oversized hole, must have been the first one drilled.

I don't think it makes much of a difference do you? We all know it's not a Rogers drum, so who cares if there are extra holes or not.

Yes it would, but I don't think there's anyway to find out, it's a great looking snare and seems to be made well. I'll give you guys a review of the sound today, maybe I'll post a video, thanks.
